One person, five threads
Your landlord writes about the contract, the keys, the invoice and the boiler. Four subjects, four places in the inbox, and you search for each one.
For fifty years email has looked the same: piles of letters, one person scattered across five threads, every answer buried under quotes. MunaMail turns your mail into chats. One person, one chat, everything in order. Soon in your language, too.
Works with Gmail, iCloud and any IMAP mailbox, Outlook soon. Your mail stays on your Mac.

An ordinary inbox on an ordinary Tuesday, and letters keep arriving while you read this. Flip the switch: not one letter is lost, each simply finds its place.
Your landlord writes about the contract, the keys, the invoice and the boiler. Four subjects, four places in the inbox, and you search for each one.
Each reply drags everything before it. You scroll past three copies of your own words to find one new line.
Name, title, phone, address, six social links and a legal notice, under a message of two lines.
A letter in Polish waits until you paste it into a translator. Then you answer in a language you don't speak.
MunaMail keeps the address everyone already has and changes everything you see.
Everything a mail program adds around a letter folds away. The original is one tap away, nothing is deleted.
Each person has their language. You type in yours and see exactly what they will get before it goes, in the tone of your conversation.
Friday at 4 pm works for me. Should I bring the signed copy?
Piątek o 16:00 mi odpowiada. Czy mam przynieść podpisany egzemplarz?
A price, an address, what was agreed. The answer points to the letters it came from.
A letter to several people is a group chat. Copy someone in and they join it, the way you add a person to a group.
The chores of an inbox, one click each, without opening anything.
A shop's letter shows as its main picture, a line and its own buttons. The whole letter is one tap away.
Drop files on the chat, or paste a screenshot. They go up while you type, and Undo brings them back.
A notification for letters from people, never for newsletters. Start a reply, switch chats, and it waits as a draft.
Email reaches every company, office and landlord. Messengers are how people like to talk. MunaMail puts the two together.

Features of classic email apps and messengers vary by app, version and plan; the table describes what they usually offer.
MunaMail is an app on your computer, not a service in the cloud. It talks to Gmail or Outlook directly and keeps its copy on your Mac. Our servers never see a single letter.
Mail comes from your provider straight to your Mac and is kept there. Nothing is copied to a cloud of ours, so there is nothing of yours to leak from it.
When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, the access goes straight to your Mac. Passwords and sign-ins are stored on your Mac and are never sent to us.
The beta sends your letters nowhere but your mail provider. Translation and answers come later, and only with your own Claude or OpenAI key, from your Mac, for letters from people.
Invisible tracking pixels are cut out of every letter, so a sender can't count your opens.
Short answers. If yours is not here, write to hello@munamail.com.
Yes. The beta is free, with everything it has. After the beta there will be a paid plan with AI, and you will hear about it before anything changes.
Gmail and Google Workspace with Continue with Google; iCloud, Yahoo, Fastmail and any IMAP mailbox with an app password. Outlook and Microsoft 365 are coming during the beta.
While Google reviews MunaMail, signing in shows that notice. Press Advanced, then Go to MunaMail. The access Google gives goes to your Mac only, never to us.
On your Mac, in your user folder. MunaMail has no server that sees your letters. Passwords and sign-ins are encrypted with a key kept in your Mac’s Keychain.
No. MunaMail reads and sends through your mail provider, so the people you write to get ordinary email and need nothing new. Your letters stay in your mailbox, and Gmail or any other app still shows them.
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and later) on macOS 12 or later. A version for Intel Macs is planned.
They come after the beta. The beta has no AI at all, so no letter goes anywhere but your mail provider.
Move MunaMail to the Bin and delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/MunaMail. Your mailbox stays as it was. If you left your email for news, write to hello@munamail.com and we will delete it.
